How not to do form fields

On the HMRC site for setting up to pay VAT online there is a form requiring you to set up five ‘Shared Secrets’ – one of which is ‘Memorable Date’.

The instructions for filling in the fields include (emphasis mine):

Each field must:

be between six and fifteen letters long (a-z) not contain spaces, punctuation, other special characters or numbers

and the label and hint text around the ‘Memorable Date’ field (a freeform text input)?

Memorable date eg dd/mm/yyyy
